OralPop
Author: dB Unit
This piece was generated entirely from the first three samples you can hear in the beginning of the piece. They were then processed in V-Synth without using any other waveforms.
Pneumatik
Author: Exterm
This piece uses samples from a pneumatic test-rig, a shaver inside a washingmachine, an empty Aardbeg-bottle, a typewriter and different kitchen utensils! Everything is multisampled into an Akai S700 and then sequenced from the computer. All sequences were then recorded track by track and processed in the computer.
The Beauty Of Catching A Fall
Author: Closer Contact
I sampled various situations outside with my family; my wife doing gardening and the kids on their vehicles. The drums are sampled indoors by banging on hard things and using things from the kitchen. Somewhere in the chaos created you can hear one of my kids shouting. I added some of my own voice to it, as well. I did all the sampling with a lousy mic and a minidisc and then recorded it with Cubase which I also used to edit and arrange everything. Not a very good song in the end, I’m afraid.
Regnskur (Rain Shower)
Author: Clarissa Compulsion
We had a rather cold and wet summer that year. The vocal samples was taken from the national weather forecast which ironically is a very dry program. All samples was recorded, edited and played on an Akai S2800. The sounds include a 60 liters plastic cement mixing bucket, a cardboard box for a flat screen, a knife and a fork, the sine wave from a telephone and finally my own voice.
